The Vikings Announce A New Stadium Plan, But It's Not A Done Deal (Yet)

Vikings Stadium Update: Deal Announced, But Hurdles Remain - SB Nation Minnesota. I'd like the Vikings to stay in Minnesota, and building a new stadium on or near the site of the existing Metrodome seems to have the most support. And more importantly, the most funding sources in place. The City of Minneapolis is willing to contribute $338.7 million, which is better than Ramsey County because they couldn't get their funding plan in place.

But I'm not sure why Governor Mark Dayton decided now was the time to hold a press conference. Maybe he's trying to build some momentum with the state legislature, which hasn't signed off on any stadium deal yet and "There are serious doubts about any Vikings stadium deal from both governing bodies."
