Holy cow, men and women. It's draft day. The 2012 NFL Draft starts on Thursday night in primetime with the first round, and the Packers will be up very late in the broadcast. It won't be too bad for you folks in central time -- which I assume is most of you -- but the east coasters like me are going to stay up past our bedtimes. Our Green Bay Packers news and links are draft-heavy today, as you might have anticipated, but we did find room for one piece on Nick Collins.
Also, since this is the first post of the day, ***DISCLAIMER*** we're going to post a lot today. We might post on silly rumors. We promise to only do this once a year.
Paul Imig has a great article on Collins that looks back on previous quotes by Mike McCarthy, Ted Thompson and Collins himself regarding his injury, reminding everyone of exactly what led to his eventual release on Wednesday.
Basically, everyone has plenty of upside and plenty of drawbacks. Or, every scout ever wants to cover their butt.
I have a feeling neither of these guys is going to get picked in the first round, which is going to lead us to a fuuuuuun debate on Friday.
Another Thompson need vs. BPA article, but this one is good and doesn't make it sound like a tired subject.
You cannot move sideways in the NFL Draft!
My man Zach Kruse has Courtney Upshaw on top of his list, bust out the torches and pitchforks, y'all.
More from around SB Nation after the jump
Noooooooooooo don't ever trade up for a 1st round RB *head explodes*
How big of a reach would Barron be at 11?
Yo, seriously, Fletcher Cox at 5th overall. DANG.
Oh cool, a non-draft thing that happened! P.S. The Falcons are going to be really good.
