We're crawling slowly towards the part of the year where jobs are won and actual football is played. Yes, it's a slow crawl, but time is still moving forward according to my clock. The Green Bay Packers have a three-day mandatory minicamp coming up next week, before the players go on a ten-day break to rest up for training camp.
Obviously jobs aren't going to be won and lost in minicamp, but players might be able to improve their standing in the eyes of coaches and set themselves up well going into training camp.
I'm going to throw up this post and three others over the next few days: Offensive player with the most to gain, offensive player with the most to lose, defensive player with the most to gain, and defensive player with the most to lose. I'm really interested to see exactly where you guys think players stand in the pecking order at this point and exactly which jobs are up for grabs.
I'm going to limit these to 5-10 choices, and inevitably someone is going to disagree with all of the guys I've listed. If you picked other, please tell everyone why in the comments. And obviously, this is meant to be a point of discussion in general, so I'd really love for everyone to explain their vote in the comments. Offensive player with the most to lose will be up on Monday morning.
