UPDATE: More info on Charlie Peprah's release, other transactions
Hey, remember when I said that M.D. Jennings had a leg-up on Charlie Peprah for a job in camp? Turns out, he has a big leg up, because Peprah doesn't play for the Green Bay Packers anymore. The safety has been released by the team. Credit goes to ESPN Wisconsin's Jason Wilde for breaking this story.
The #Packers have released safety @CharliePeprah. Peprah confirms via text message. Thanks to @JHags56 for the tip.

A Green And Gold Today listener tipped off Wilde, who got Peprah to confirm the story himself. Crazy. Isn't the internet incredible?
This clears some salary cap room and gives the Packers a roster spot to bring in another player. We'll have more on why Peprah was released, the cap implications and what the team might do with that spot later. For now, all I have to say is that I'm very surprised. I did not expect Peprah to beat out Jennings in camp, but I also expected him to make the 53-man roster. We don't know if this is about health, money, performances or something else, but we'll surely learn soon enough.
