Wynn: Super Bowl champion, but not a Packer in 2012

As the day goes along, we'll have news on a number of Packers who are losing their jobs as the team trims the roster down to 75 players.

DE Jarius Wynn (reported approximately 9:57 AM CDT)
Wynn was way down the depth chart this summer and never really made any impact with all the new faces on the Packers' defensive line. Unlike C.J. Wilson, who has quietly kept a strong hold on the starting LDE spot in the base defense, Wynn never took starters reps or impressed anyone this year.

UPDATE: The full slate is in, as of 4:50 PM CDT

The Packers placed six players on injured reserve. Those players are:
ILB Desmond Bishop
RB Du'ane Bennett
TE DeMarco Cosby
G Ray Dominguez
DL Johnny Jones
WR Shaky Smithson

Two players were placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list:
TE Andrew Quarless
OLB Frank Zombo

And two players were released outright:
FB Jon Hoese
DE Jarius Wynn

As expected, many of these moves were made due to the injuries plaguing the team in training camp. I'm surprised that a few of the players placed on injured reserve weren't given a little more time to recover, but them's the breaks.

Feel free to use this as your cut-down day open thread.
