Injuries have been a hot topic for Packer fans the last couple days. Injuries have mounted for the Packers, including injuries to notable players such as Marshall Newhouse and Greg Jennings. Injuries are common at camp, but the number of guys nursing injuries early has already caused a change in a few practices.

This week's opponent, the San Diego Chargers, does not have quite as many injuries as the Packers do, at least not according to the injury report from USA Today. Right now there are three players who are listed as out for the game against the Packers: Jared Gaither (back), Eddie Royal (groin), and Brandyn Dombrowski (foot). ESPN also lists Charlie Whitehurst (knee) as questionable.

Gaither is currently listed as the starting left tackle. Having the starting LT is something we Packer fans are familiar with due to the current situation with Newhouse and the injury status of Chad Clifton the last few years. In the "Ask A Packer Fan" post over at Bolts From The Blue, this was brought up. It seems this injury to Gaither is giving UDFA Mike Harris a chance to get some reps. Harris has been turning heads and so this may be his chance to shine.

Royal is currently listed as the primary backup to Robert Meachem at WR. It should be noted that while USA Today has him listed as "Out", ESPN lists him as being "Questionable."

Whitehurst, not to be confused with Jesus, is currently listed as the backup QB. I have to admit that I didn't know he was back in San Diego. Really that makes the trade the Chargers worked with the Seahawks look all the more like highway robbery.

Dombrowski is currently listed as the third string LB for the Chargers.
