If you weren't here yesterday, Cheese Curds is going to run Monday through Friday during the regular season. Your Saturday substitute is a schedule of college games to watch and the NFL prospects you should be keeping an eye out for. On Sundays, we'll take a look at the NFL schedule and suggest which games you should watch.
You can find a broadcast map at The 506.
Redskins at Saints - 12 p.m. CT
Network: FOX
Announcers: Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston, Tony Siragusa
You get this game in: Most of the country, including Milwaukee. Basically everywhere except places where you're in the local broadcast area of another game going on at the time.
Should you watch it?: Maybe, though if your choice is between this or Patriots-Titans (that'll be half of our readers), I'd watch the CBS game. I have two TVs in my living room, so HA!
At least two out of three APC editors picked: New Orleans
Falcons vs. Chiefs - 12 p.m. CT
Network: FOX
Announcers: Thom Brennaman, Brian Billick
You get this game in: The Atlanta and KC viewing areas, which isn't much. This includes Denver and Knoxville, though.
Should you watch it?: If you get it or have Sunday Ticket, absolutely. This is better than FOX's national game, but I understand why they wanted to put Robert Griffin on half-national TV.
At least two out of three APC editors picked: Atlanta
Eagles at Browns - 12 p.m. CT
Network: FOX
Announcers: Dick Stockton, John Lynch
You get this game in: Pennsylvania and Ohio, unless you're in some odd tiny corner of it (like Toledo).
Should you watch it?: Not unless you want to hear boos during a moment of silence for the first time in your life.
At least two out of three APC editors picked: Philly
Rams at Lions - 12 p.m. CT
Network: FOX
Announcers: Chris Myers, Tim Ryan
You get this game in: Michigan, half of Wisconsin (including Madison), the parts of Illinois that really suck, St. Louis, most of Oklahoma, and some odd part of the plains.
Should you watch it?: No, this is the second-worst game of the early games. Incredibly, the two worst games both feature NFC North teams.
At least two out of three APC editors picked: Detroit
Patriots at Titans - 12 p.m. CT
Network: CBS
Announcers: Jim Nantz, Phil Simms
You get this game in: A very large portion of the country. The east coast except the New York viewing area and Florida, along with the mid-south, Cascadia and LA get this game.
Should you watch it?: It's a pretty good choice. This might be the best early game.
At least two out of three APC editors picked: New England
Colts at Bears - 12 p.m. CT
Network: CBS
Announcers: Greg Gumbel, Dan Dierdorf
You get this game in: A lot of the midwest and the great plains, as well as most of Arizona, New Mexico and the Bay Area. It's in most of the U.P. and Wisconsin, but the western part of WI and Ironwood get the Vikings game.
Should you watch it?: Division rival playing against Andrew Luck on his debut? It's not a bad choice. And since it's on in Milwaukee, Green Bay and Madison, it's a solid option for those without Sunday Ticket.
At least two out of three APC editors picked: Chicago
Dolphins at Texans - 12 p.m. CT
Network: CBS
Announcers: Ian Eagle, Dan Fouts
You get this game in: Texas and South Florida
Should you watch it?: No.
At least two out of three APC editors picked: Houston
Bills at Jets - 12 p.m. CT
Network: CBS
Announcers: Marv Albert, Rich Gannon
You get this game in: New York, Jersey, a good chunk of PA (including Philly), Colorado.
Should you watch it?: It's a solid choice if you get it. This could be a battle for a wild card spot in the AFC.
At least two out of three APC editors picked: Buffalo
Jaguars at Vikings - 12 p.m. CT
Network: CBS
Announcers: Kevin Harlan, Solomon Wilcots
You get this game in: The normal Jags and Vikings viewing areas, plus most of Oklahoma for some reason.
Should you watch it?: I'll let Michael Scott answer that question.
At least two out of three APC editors picked: Minnesota
Panthers vs. Buccaneers - 3:15 p.m. CT
Network: FOX
Announcers: Ron Pitts, Mike Martz
You get this game in: The Carolinas, Tampa, strangely also Birmingham and New Orleans.
Should you watch it?: Absolutely not
At least two out of three APC editors picked: Carolina
Seahawks at Cardinals - 3:15 p.m. CT
Network: FOX
Announcers: Sam Rosen, Heath Evans
You get this game in: Arizona, places where people like the Seahawks
Should you watch it?: Maybe if you have two TVs
At least two out of three APC editors picked: Seattle
49ers at Packers - 3:25 p.m. CT
Network: FOX
Announcers: Joe Buck, Troy Aikman
You get this game in: Everywhere that isn't in the local broadcast area for the other two late games.
Should you watch it?: No, screw these teams! Waste of your time!
At least two out of three APC editors picked: Green Bay
Steelers at Broncos - 7:20 p.m. CT
Network: NBC
Announcers: Al Michaels, Chris Collinsworth
You get this game in: Everywhere that has NBC, so everywhere
Should you watch it?: Yes, it'll be fun
At least two out of three APC editors picked: Denver
There are two Monday Night Football games this week, which we'll hit on tomorrow.
