USA TODAY Sports

The instant reaction to the Green Bay Packers' selection of defensive end Datone Jones was almost unanimously positive. Nearly every Packers writer and personality was pleased with the pick, and that includes all of us here at Acme Packing Company. We have gathered a few initial reactions to the selection, including our own, and vote in the poll below to tell us your opinion.

Walter Football had this to say about the Packers' pick, and gave it an A- grade:

Datone Jones has been discussed as high as No. 19 to the Giants, so the Packers are getting good value with Datone Jones. They're also getting a tremendous upgrade on the defensive line.

Pete Prisco of CBS Sports gave it a B+:

Ted Thompson always seems to pick good football players. Datone Jones owned the Senior Bowl week. He is a perfect pick for the Packers. He will be a 3-4 end.
