2013 NFL Draft: Predicting the Packers' Second and Third Round Picks

New, comments

One writer nailed the Packers' first round pick. Will anyone guess right on day two?

Stephen Dunn

Congratulations to Kevin McCauley. He was the only Acme Packing Company writer to correctly predict that the Green Bay Packers would select Datone Jones with the 26th overall selection. I'm sure all of us seriously considered Jones, but Kevin pulled the trigger and wins the top dog award for the day.

The Packers now have two picks currently slated for day two of the draft, and the four of us took another stab at predicting what Ted Thompson will do in the second and third rounds.

Second Round: 23rd pick (#55 overall)

Writer Player Position School
Tex J.J. Wilcox S Georgia Southern
Kevin Johnathan Franklin RB UCLA
Jason Markus Wheaton WR Oregon State
Dan* Jonathan Cyprien S Florida International

* Note: Dan projects that the Packers will trade up in the second round to draft Cyprien, and will give up their fourth-round pick to do so.

Third Round: 26th pick (#88 overall)

Writer Player Position School
Tex Markus Wheaton WR Oregon State
Kevin Terrance Williams WR Baylor
Jason Brian Schwenke C California
Dan Giovani Bernard RB North Carolina

What do you think the Packers will do in rounds two and three? Tell us in the comments below.
