Senior Bowl 2013: TV schedule and open thread

Let's get together to overrate prospects based on one viewing! It's all in good fun.

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Saturday, ladies and gentlemen. Today is the day of the best of the college football all-star games, the Senior Bowl. For the first time ever, the Senior Bowl is allowing non-seniors to participate in the game if they've graduated from college, which will be a thing going forward.

Before the game starts, check out Tex's roster preview. There are a number of players who are participating in this game that would be excellent draft options for the Packers. Most of the truly elite guys aren't at the Senior Bowl, but a few late-1st quality guys and a ton of 2nd-3rd round quality guys will be on display.

Even though it's not too relevant to the Packers, the big thing to watch for the NFL as a whole in this game is the quarterback play. This draft has no QB on the level of Robert Griffin or Andrew Luck, but 6-7 QBs who have enough talent to start in the league. A couple teams will reach for one in the top half, and someone's going to get incredible value with a long-term starter in the 2nd or 3rd round.

This is your open thread, so chat away!

Game date/time: Saturday, 3 p.m. CT

Venue: Ladd-Peebles Stadium, Mobile, Alabama

TV: NFL Network
