The Packers got some more positive signs in practice on Thursday, as some key players were back practicing at full strength in preparation for the team's playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday night. In his press conference, coach Mike McCarthy commented that wideouts Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson pushed hard in practice and participated in all drills. Jermichael Finley, who was limited on Wednesday, was not even mentioned, and appears to be full-go for Saturday.
Here's the full rundown of the injury report:
Player | Injury | Thursday Status |
Randall Cobb | Ankle | Full participant |
Jordy Nelson | Knee | Full participant |
Charles Woodson | Collarbone | Full participant |
James Starks | Knee | Limited |
Jarrett Boykin | Knee | Did not practice |
Tramon Williams | Illness | Did not practice |
Jerel Worthy | Knee | Out |
The one worrisome person on this report is Williams, who showed up sick according to McCarthy. The coach said he was given medication and sent home for the day. Hopefully with another 48+ hours until kickoff, Williams will be recovered in time for the game. If he is not, that would likely throw a new wrinkle into the way Charles Woodson would be used on defense.
