With Nick Perry and Clay Matthews injured and a few practice squad positions available, the Green Bay Packers have been working out several young linebackers in the hopes of filling those spots on the roster. They already show one new add on the roster, Victor Aiyewa, and NFL reporter Aaron Wilson is reporting that they have worked out several others recently:
Signing Victor Aiyewa to psquad, Packers work out Demetrius Hartsfield, Alan Baxter, Jake Muasau, Justin Staples, Aston Whiteside..

According to the Packers' website, Aiyewa is a 6'1" 237-pound linebacker who played his college ball at the University of Washington. He graduated after the 2010 season and was a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to start the 2011 season.
As for the other players, here is a brief rundown of each.
Demetrius Hartsfield: rookie linebacker from Maryland, recorded 27 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks in four years, tore his ACL in November 2012.
Alan Baxter: played defensive end at Northern Illinois, but is projected as an outside linebacker. He recorded 9.5 sacks his senior year and 16 total in his collegiate career. Listed at 6', 240 pounds. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Pittsburgh Steelers but was released a few days ago.
Jake Muasau: played linebacker at Georgia State and signed with the Giants as an undrafted free agent after the 2012 draft. See full breakdown here from SBNation's Giants blog Big Blue View.
Justin Staples: played defensive end at Illinois, but projects as an outside linebacker. He was signed by the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent after the 2013 draft, but was released off their practice squad a few days ago.
Aston Whiteside: played defensive end at Abilene Christian, but projects as an outside linebacker. He was released off the Chicago Bears' practice squad recently. Here's his profile from Blogging the Boys, SBNation's Cowboys blog, as they signed him originally coming out of college in 2012.
Lawrence Wilson: there are two linebackers with this name - one finished his college career in 2010 with Connecticut, while the other played through 2009 at Ohio State. It seems likely that this is the UConn version, though, as he has spent time with the Bears and Saints organizations after being drafted in the 6th round of the 2011 draft by Carolina.
Brandon Williams: despite being a popular name (as there are three people named Brandon Williams to play in the NFL over the past decade), this one is presumably the linebacker who played at Texas Tech from 2006-2008 and spent time with the Cowboys and Cardinals organizations over the past several years. Williams recorded 13 sacks in his junior year at Texas Tech before declaring early for the draft and being drafted in the 4th round by Dallas in 2009. He only has six NFL games on his resume, however.
