Cheese Curds: Green Bay Packers News and Links for November 5, 2013

While we wait on news about Aaron Rodgers' injury from last night, let's wallow in self-pity for a few hours before moving on from the Packers' loss on Monday night.

That sucked.

Seriously, last night's loss to the Bears was the most frustrating Packers game I have seen in a long time - at least based on what happened between the two teams and not involving the referees. We're still waiting on more word on Aaron Rodgers' status, and I'm sure you're waiting with bated breath just as I am to find out more about his injury. If he's lucky, it was just a shoulder separation, but the worst-case scenario is a broken collarbone which would likely keep him out 6-8 weeks.

In any case, the Packers are now in a three-way tie with the Bears and Lions for the NFC North lead, and will have to scratch and claw in the second half of the season to win the division. Here are the takes on the game from around the Packers blogosphere.

That's putting it mildly. Their performance in the fourth quarter was a complete embarrassment.

In relief, Seneca Wallace leaves more questions - JSOnline
He answered one - he was not ready to step in at a moment's notice. Hopefully he doesn't have to answer the next one: whether or not he can lead this team to a win with a full week of preparation with the starters.

Packers prove to be merely average without star QB | Packersnews
If Rodgers is out for a few games, I still think the Packers can make the playoffs. If he's out longer or for the entire season...never mind, I don't want to think about that.

Lacy, Starks carry the offense as best they can | Packersnews
They would have had a chance to win the game in the fourth quarter, too, if the defense had gotten one stop on that last Bears drive.

Let's not hold our breath waiting for it to happen though.

Speaking of things that suck...(sorry, Bucs fans)...

Hey, let's look at things that didn't suck over the weekend. I'd nominate Eddie Lacy for runner of the week, but I'm biased.
