Aaron Rodgers Injury Update: Small Collarbone Fracture Suspected, Per Reports

Reports are surfacing that the Packers' star QB does have a small break in his collarbone. If that is the case, Rodgers would likely miss a few games.

Well, we have our first reports from NFL sources about the severity of Aaron Rodgers' shoulder injury, and signs are pointing to the star quarterback missing some games.

Adam Schefter of ESPN and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network are both reporting similar information - their sources indicate that Rodgers has a small fracture in his clavicle. Based on their reports, this does not sound as serious as a fully broken collarbone like the one that Charles Woodson suffered in Super Bowl XLV, which could explain why Rodgers was not wearing a sling on Monday night when he returned to the sideline.

Here are the reports from the two NFL Insiders:

If Rodgers does indeed have to miss a few games, you can bet that former Wisconsin Badger Scott Tolzien will be promoted to the active roster to back up Seneca Wallace. At this point, it seems unlikely that the Packers would make an offer to Matt Flynn, as they did not seem interested in him when he was released by the Oakland Raiders a few weeks back.

We'll keep you posted as we hear more about the severity of Rodgers' injury. Hopefully further tests will indicate a less severe injury.
