Aaron Rodgers Injury: New Reports Suggest 4-6 Week Recovery Timetable

Reports are surfacing that Aaron Rodgers will be out until late in the 2013 regular season.

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

A pair of NFL reporters apparently have sources in the Packers organization that have leaked the team's expected timeline for Aaron Rodgers' recovery from his fractured collarbone. Though Mike McCarthy and Rodgers himself both stated on Tuesday that there was no firm timetable, these reports coming out today suggest that an expected recovery period has indeed been established.

And it's not good.

As Mike Garafolo notes, the Thanksgiving game against Detroit will be a challenge based on the four-to-six week estimate. If the true length of time it takes Rodgers to come back depends only on his pain tolerance, I certainly would not rule out QB12 taking the field on Thanksgiving Day at Ford Field. But if there are other factors at play, then his absence will likely be a few weeks more than that.

We'll continue to update you as more information becomes available.
