With the Packers' win on Sunday against the Chicago Bears, they have earned the #4 seed in the NFC playoffs and a home playoff game in the Wild Card round next weekend.
Based on the results of the rest of the games this weekend, they will host last year's playoff nemesis, the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers defeated the Arizona Cardinals in Week 17 on a last-second field goal by Phil Dawson, and thanks to the Seattle Seahawks clinching the NFC West with a win over the Rams, the 49ers earned the 5th seed in the NFC.
This sets up a rematch of last year's divisional round matchup in San Francisco, when the Packers lost 45-31. It's also a repeat of the teams' week one game (also in Candlestick Park), when the Packers lost 34-28.
We will update you with the playoff schedule as soon as we possibly can. With the other NFC Wild-Card game being the New Orleans Saints against the NFC East winner, my uninformed guess is that the Packers will play on Sunday afternoon, but stay tuned for further announcements when tonight's game is complete.
