On Monday, the Green Bay Packers and their fans got some news on Aaron Rodgers' status this week as the team prepares to play the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon in Week 15.
Mike McCarthy spoke to reporters, and one of the big points from the press conference was Rodgers' schedule over the next few days:
McCarthy: Aaron Rodgers, the plan is he will work out tomorrow, part of his rehab, will be evaluated Wednesday morning.

Certainly that gives no indication as to any progression in Rodgers' current status, as McCarthy also said that the QB has still not been cleared to play, but it's good to hear a clear timeline of what steps will be taken and when. Don't expect to hear any more information until after practice on Wednesday, but that day's post-practice press conference will likely be one that Packers fans across the world will be awaiting anxiously.
One other injury update that McCarthy discussed was to running back Eddie Lacy, who twisted his ankle on the final play of the first half. McCarthy said that Lacy has a sprained ankle but that he does not yet know Lacy's status for the Cowboys game. Considering Lacy played the entire second half on that ankle, I would be surprised to see him unavailable on Sunday, but I would also be surprised to see him practice fully all week. Calling a running play to run out the clock on a half instead of taking a knee drew the ire of many a Packer fan (myself included), and when asked about this McCarthy just said he would not discuss it.
The final injured Packer discussed was wide receiver Randall Cobb, who is eligible to be activated from the Injured Reserve/Designated for return list this week. Cobb was not cleared to run as of last week, but McCarthy said that he is working out Monday and Tuesday but has not yet been cleared for practice. Based on that statement, it seems like a long shot that Cobb would be activated for this week, but hopefully he can play again before the end of this season.
