With the NFL Scouting Combine wrapping up and several players being released as salary cap casualties, the player acquisition phase of the NFL off-season is in full swing. As such, that means that Ted Thompson is going to be an extremely busy man over the coming weeks and months, and likely will be meeting with a large number of players, both rookies and free agents, to get a feel for whether they would be a good fit in Green Bay.
In this post, we'll keep track of confirmed reports of players who either have met or will be meeting with the Packers as part of either rookie scouting or free agency.
Rookies
Running Backs: Montee Ball (Wisconsin), Eddie Lacy (Alabama)
Edge Rushers (3-4 OLB): Ziggy Ansah (BYU), Bjoern Werner (Florida State)
Linebackers: Manti Te'o (Notre Dame)
Wide Receivers: Robert Woods (USC, updated 2/27)
Free Agents
Defensive Linemen: Chris Canty (NYG)
That's all we have for the time being, but we'll continue to update with reports of meetings as they are made known to us.
