Greg Jennings had dinner with some important Vikings people

Make your pitch, boys.

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

No matter how strong
I'm gonna take you down
With one little stone
I'm gonna break you down
And see what you're worth
What you're really worth to me

Greg Jennings had dinner with the Minnesota Vikings last night. Or, more accurately, he had dinner with at least four very important members of the Vikings organization.

Dinner at eight was okay
Before the toast full of gleams
It was great until those old magazines
Got us started up again
Actually
It was probably me again

Maybe they happened to discuss this little fact at their dinner.

Why is it so
That I've always been the one who must go
That I've always been the one told to flee
When it fact you were the one long ago
Actually
In the drifting white snow
You left me

I understand why Jennings is talking to the Vikings, even if Packers fans will go nuts and he doesn't really want to play for a rival. He feels that the Packers haven't offered him what he's worth. He can probably get more money out of the Vikings. He probably feels a bit let down by the Packers, right or wrong.

So put up your fists and I'll put up mine
No running away from the scene of the crime
God's chosen a place
Somewhere near the end of the world
Somewhere near the end of our lives

We don't know how this disagreement between Jennings and the Packers will end. He might come back when he realizes the grass isn't greener on the other side or he might decide that he needs to end his relationship with the Packers.

But till then no, Daddy, don't be surprised
If I want to see the tears in your eyes
Then I know it had to be long ago
Actually
In the drifting white snow
You loved me

If he signs with the Vikings, I will be sad, and I will miss him.

No matter how strong
I'm gonna take you down
With one little stone
I'm gonna break you down
And see what you're worth
What you're really worth to me
