The Packers were on the clock with the 193rd pick of the 2013 NFL Draft. With the 25th pick of the sixth round, Green Bay selected:
Nate Palmer, outside linebacker, Illinois State
Palmer is a small-school product from FCS school Illinois State. He is listed by NFL.com at 6'3" and 240 pounds. According to Zach Kruse of CheeseheadTV.com, the Packers brought Palmer in for a meeting prior to the draft, and evidently they were pleased with what they saw. Palmer played defensive end in college, and likely will translate to outside linebacker in the Packers' 3-4 defense.
