Packers 2013 Preseason Schedule: Three NFC West Opponents

New, comments

The Packers' four preseason games include three of the four NFC West teams, but thankfully not the one that ended Green Bay's season.

This afternoon, the NFL announced the preseason schedule for all 32 teams across the league. While this announcement certainly does not hold the weight or interest of the full schedule release (which is expected on April 17th), it is still interesting since we do not typically know the opponents ahead of time.

This year, the Packers play four teams from West divisions, including three of the four teams in the NFC and one in the AFC.

Preseason Week 1:
Arizona Cardinals @ Green Bay Packers

Preseason Week 2:
Green Bay Packers @ St. Louis Rams

Preseason Week 3: Friday August 23rd, 7:00 PM Central
Seattle Seahawks @ Green Bay Packers
National TV Coverage: CBS

Preseason Week 4:
Green Bay Packers @ Kansas City Chiefs

While we don't know the exact dates and times of three of the games, we at least know the opponents and locations. One interesting quirk about the preseason schedule: despite playing exclusively "West" division teams, all four games will be played in the Central Time zone! That's good news for any Packers fans who don't like staying up past 10:30 or 11:00 to watch preseason games.

We'll break down the preseason schedule a little deeper soon.
