The Green Bay Packers' rookies finally take the field today for practice, so here's all the information you need to prepare yourself for the events of the weekend.
Schedule
Daily practices starting Friday, May 10th through Sunday, May 12th
Players In Attendance
All of the Packers' draft picks will be present. This includes the following:
Datone Jones, DE, UCLA
Eddie Lacy, RB, Alabama
David Bakhtiari, OL, Colorado
J.C. Tretter, OL, Cornell
Johnathan Franklin, RB, UCLA
Micah Hyde, CB, Iowa
Josh Boyd, DT, Mississippi State
Nate Palmer, OLB, Illinois State
Charles Johnson, WR, Grand Valley State
Kevin Dorsey, WR, Maryland
Sam Barrington, ILB, South Florida
There are also a number of known undrafted free agents who have signed with the Packers and will be attending:
Matt Brown, QB, Illinois State; Ben Ericksen, S, Illinois State; Gilbert Pena, DT, Mississippi; Jake Stoneburner, TE, Ohio State; Lane Taylor, G, Oklahoma State; Patrick Lewis, C, Texas A&M; Andy Mulumba, OLB, Eastern Michigan; Myles White, WR, Louisiana Tech; Angelo Pease, RB, Kansas State; Jeremy Vujnovich, OL, Louisiana College; Ryan Roberson, FB, Texas; Devin Willis, CB, Northern Arizona.
Two other players have confirmed that they will be attending on a tryout basis, and there will in all likelihood be several more.
Damond Smith, CB, South Alabama; Cedrick Moore, S, Stony Brook.
Key Storylines
Offensive line positions: where will the 4th-round picks, Bakhtiari and Tretter, focus? They're both versatile players, and Tretter is likely to get a long look inside at guard and center. Bakhtiari is the wild card though, as he could compete for jobs all along the line.
Running back competition: With two rookie backs in Lacy and Franklin being drafted, the comparisons between the two will last for the entire length of their Packer careers. Will Lacy show up fully healthy and ready to compete? Will Franklin establish himself enough during his time in minicamp that he doesn't suffer from missing OTAs?
Identifying the key UDFAs: We broke down the early leaders for roster spots earlier this week, but my attention will be focused squarely on Mulumba and Stoneburner.
