Oakland Raiders Sign Charles Woodson, Per Report

I guess you really can go home again. After spending eight years in Oakland, cornerback Charles Woodson signed with the Green Bay Packers. Now, after seven seasons in Green Bay including a Defensive Player of the Year award in 2009, Woodson is apparently returning to the place where his NFL career began:

I for one am happy that Charles has found a job for this season, and as a Packers fan I am pleased that it is outside the NFC North. He may not be the elite, game-changing cornerback that he was for several years in Green Bay, but he's still a veteran defensive back with a great deal of experience and intelligence and I would not be happy seeing him in a divisional opponent's backfield twice a year.

In his seven years with the Packers, Woodson played in 100 games and posted 38 interceptions, 15 forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, 11.5 sacks, and ten combined return touchdowns. He won that aforementioned Defensive Player of the Year award, and earned his only Super Bowl ring from the Packers' victory in Super Bowl XLV.
