Packers Sign Rookie Eddie Lacy to Contract, says Report

Another rookie draft pick has reportedly agreed to his contract with the Packers.

The Packers 2013 rookie draft class, consisting of eleven players, will shortly have only one remaining player who has not yet agreed to a contract. The latest to come to terms is Alabama running back Eddie Lacy, the Packers' second-round pick at 61st overall. ESPN's Adam Schefter was the first to break the news:

We do not know any details of Lacy's contract yet, but we will update with the terms as soon as they are made available. As noted above, there's only one unsigned rookie left, and that is defensive end Datone Jones, the Packers' first-round selection. Odds are good that he will sign soon, since the new collective bargaining agreement limits draftees' contracts to a fairly tight set of constraints.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette's Rob Demovsky confirmed the signing with an NFL source and noted that we may not see an official press release from the Packers until Thursday, so we will link to that as soon as possible.

Lacy rushed for 1,322 yards on 204 carries (6.5 average) in 2012, with 17 touchdowns. He added another 189 receiving yards on 22 receptions with two scores on the way to an NCAA National Championship with Alabama.
