Packers Rookies En Route to Green Bay for Minicamp

It's clear that several of the Packers' rookies are excited about starting off their NFL careers on the right foot.

As the Green Bay Packers' rookie minicamp begins on Friday, players have begun to make their ways to Green Bay today to report for duty. Several of the players have commented on their plans for the week on Twitter,

Cornerback Micah Hyde is one player who looks to have a tough competition for a spot on the roster, but that has not dampened his enthusiasm to begin his professional career.

Linebacker Nate Palmer is also apparently planning on making an early appearance at Lambeau Field, with a short, early-morning flight to get to Green Bay:

Though Palmer is from Illinois (presumably the Chicago area, where he played in high school), he is flying to Austin-Straubel Airport instead of making the 4-5 hour drive. One undrafted free agent is excited about starting his pursuit of a roster spot as well, but I hope he's flying since he would have a longer 10-hour drive ahead of him:

It's not just the late-round picks and undrafted free agents who are excited about the first practices of their professional careers, though. First-round pick Datone Jones may be leaving the warmth and sun of southern California to travel to Green Bay, but he doesn't seem to have any complaints.

We will have coverage of the big events from minicamp all weekend, so keep your browsers locked to APC.

UPDATE: See the comments from rookie running back Eddie Lacy's tweet. Another mid-round rookie pick is excited to be on his way to minicamp as well:
