APC Lunch Break: Which Packers Starter Worries You the Most?

We ask you to tell us about Packers players who tend to raise your blood pressure.

Nick Laham

As a fan of the Green Bay Packers, odds are that your mood on Sundays (and the occasional Monday or Thursday) swing in the same directions as the Packers' fortunes. In fact, I'm willing to bet that some of you are already getting worked up about the 2013 season when thinking about certain players or positions on this year's team. With everyone's blood pressure in mind, today's lunch break question is this:

Which one starting position on the 2013 Packers worries you the most?

One key clarification here is that your choice does not necessarily have to be a specific player - positions which still have a starter yet to be named are very much in play here. For example, my guess is that several people might choose A.J. Hawk at inside linebacker for this. However, I would argue that the right tackle position is more worrisome, and not just because there will be an open competition at that position. Here are our candidates:

Hawk (inside linebacker) - with the departure of Desmond Bishop, many people around here have been voicing their displeasure with Hawk once again.

Right tackle - Will it be Marshall Newhouse, Don Barclay, David Bakhtiari, or somebody else? In any case, I'm not sold on any of those players being a solid, consistent blocker in all phases of the offense until I see it for myself.

Bryan Bulaga (left tackle) - I doubt this will get many votes, but I can see an argument here. Bulaga's transition to left tackle will be a crucial piece to the puzzle this season and will need to be smooth to help keep Aaron Rodgers on his feet.

Jermichael Finley (tight end) - My guess is that Finley will earn a decent share of votes, despite being solid over the second half of last season.

Strong Safety - with both M.D. Jennings and Jerron McMillian fighting for the starting job, this position certainly is not settled. Personally, I'll feel more comfortable with that spot if McMillian earns the job.

Nick Perry (outside linebacker) - perhaps you are concerned with Perry's return from his wrist injury and you're not convinced that he'll be back at 100%. Perhaps you're still not convinced that Perry will be effective dropping into coverage and being a full-time linebacker. Whatever the concern, I can see this being a worrisome position for some people.

Did we miss anyone here who keeps you up at night? Let us know in the comments.
