Packers on Twitter: Recent Highlights of Green Bay Players from June 2013

It's dead out there, so let's turn to Twitter to see what the Packers are up to between OTAs and training camp.

USA TODAY Sports

Let's face it: unless we're talking about the Aaron Hernandez situation, this week is brutal for NFL writers like us. Training camp is still a month out, OTAs and minicamp are well in the rear-view mirror, and there's not much to discuss.

We start it off with Green Bay Packers rookie cornerback Micah Hyde, who was making some fun of a fellow rookie, running back Johnathan Franklin, for his antics on the airplane while the two were departing from the NFL's Rookie Symposium near Cleveland, Ohio.

Jake Stoneburner, being an Ohio State graduate and native of the Columbus area, was not on a plane and was able to react more quickly to the Aaron Hernandez situation yesterday. He tried to make some light of the situation by retweeting this from a fan:

After ESPN's Jeremy Schaap accidentally called Aaron Hernandez "Aaron Rodgers" during SportsCenter, the Packers' QB was not amused.

Finally, we switch to more positive news. Over the weekend, defensive tackle Ryan Pickett got a number of people together for his charity golf tournament, and was interviewed about the experience.

Fellow defensive lineman Mike Neal was in attendance as well, participating in the tournament.

If you're curious, I also keep an up-to-date list of all the Packers players currently on Twitter, which you can find below. Feel free to subscribe to the list as well, and it is embedded below.
