Cheese Curds: Green Bay Packers News and Links for July 4, 2013

Today's Packers news is few and far between, so we decided to spice it up with some of the more ridiculous and goofy sports stories of the week.

Happy Independence Day! Since today is a day of celebration all across the 50 states, it will be a light day for us, both in terms of quantity and the topics in today's curds. We'll start it off with a little bit of serious Packers analysis before jumping off the deep end into the land of the ridiculous and absurd.

I know we usually suggest that those of you of age should relax with an adult beverage over lunch, but today especially we insist. Have a good time today with your friends and family, grill up something delicious, grab your drink of choice, and enjoy watching one of America's greatest pastimes: explosions.

What you talkin' bout Derek (Anderson)? - Cat Scratch Reader
I actually didn't realize Derek Anderson was still employed by an NFL team. I also didn't know he kept such a ridiculous account of his daily life on Twitter.

The buttfumble gets the silent (movie) treatment -
Is Mark Sanchez this generation's Charlie Chaplin?

Dennis Rodman thinks he deserves a Nobel Peace Prize -
Yes, you read that right. And this is my reaction.

Now get out there, grill a big slab of meat (or meat-shaped vegetable protein product, if you're into that sort of thing), and have a fun, relaxing day.
