Packers Training Camp Depth Chart, Updated 8/14

In the obsessive world of today's NFL, knowing the state of position battles is critical. Here's our take on how the Packers' depth chart sits at this time.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

Over the past few weeks since the Green Bay Packers started training camp, a few players have come and gone and some position battles have started to take shape. Just before camp started, we gave you our projected depth chart based on the players we predicted would make the 53-man roster for Week one.

Today, we take a look at how we think the Packers' depth chart currently stands. This is based on snaps in the first preseason game against Arizona and in practice, as well as comments from Mike McCarthy and Ted Thompson in their press conferences.

Position Starter 2nd String 3rd String Reserves
QB Aaron Rodgers Graham Harrell Vince Young B.J. Coleman
HB DuJuan Harris Eddie Lacy James Starks Johnathan Franklin, Alex Green, Angelo Pease
FB John Kuhn Jonathan Amosa
Wide Receiver James Jones Jordy Nelson Jarrett Boykin Alex Gillett, Omarius Hines, Justin Wilson,
Slot Receiver Randall Cobb Tyrone Walker Jeremy Ross Myles White
TE Jermichael Finley Matthew Mulligan Andrew Quarless D.J. Williams, Brandon Bostick, Ryan Taylor, Jake Stoneburner
LT David Bakhtiari Marshall Newhouse Andrew Datko Kevin Hughes
LG Josh Sitton Greg Van Roten Lane Taylor Patrick Lewis
C Evan Dietrich-Smith Greg Van Roten Don Barclay Patrick Lewis, Garth Gerhart
RG T.J. Lang Don Barclay Greg Van Roten Lane Taylor
RT Marshall Newhouse Don Barclay Greg Van Roten
LDE Ryan Pickett Mike Daniels Johnny Jolly
NT B.J. Raji Ryan Pickett Gilbert Pena
RDE C.J. Wilson Datone Jones Mike Neal Josh Boyd, Jordan Miller
LOLB Nick Perry Mike Neal Andy Mulumba Nate Palmer
LILB A.J. Hawk Rob Francois Sam Barrington
RILB Brad Jones Jamari Lattimore Terrell Manning
ROLB Clay Matthews Dezman Moses Donte Savage Jarvis Reed
LCB Tramon Williams* Micah Hyde Davon House Jarrett Bush
RCB Sam Shields Casey Hayward* Brandon Smith James Nixon, Loyce Means
FS Morgan Burnett David Fulton
SS Jerron McMillian M.D. Jennings Chaz Powell Chris Banjo
K Giorgio Tavecchio Mason Crosby
P Tim Masthay
LS Brett Goode

As far as we can tell, that's where things stand at this point. Obviously, the kicking competition is just getting going, and how the two players perform in actual games will be a determining factor in that race, but for now we think that Tavecchio has the edge based on Crosby's poor performance at Family Night.

Do you agree or disagree with the way we see things currently? Let us know in the comments.
