The 2013 offseason felt like it last forever. For me at least, the wait between the Green Bay Packers' loss to the 49ers last Sunday and today feels like it was almost as long. Finally, we get to see the Packers back on the field, as they host the Washington Redskins today at Lambeau Field.
Will Robert Griffin III be more comfortable this week on his surgically reconstructed knee? He looked tentative running the ball last week, but was able to get the ball to his receivers in the second half as he tried in vain to lead the Redskins back to a victory on Monday Night.
How effective will the Packers' safeties be this week without Morgan Burnett again? As he is on the inactive list, expect to see a heavy dose of Jerron McMillian and M.D. Jennings, as well as some Chris Banjo sightings as well.
My bold prediction for today? Eddie Lacy tops 100 yards on the ground, becoming the first Packer to do so on his own in almost three years (and, coincidentally, he would be the first to do it since Brandon Jackson ran for 115 yards against the Redskins in 2010).
