It is Thursday again, and that means there is another game on NFL Network. This time, the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
These teams haven't met since 2009, when the Eagles defeated the Chiefs 33-14, also in Philadelphia. The Chiefs are making return trips to Philadelphia due to a scheduling quirk which was made prior to the 2010 season - before that, half of the teams playing the AFC West or NFC West had to make two trips to the West Coast. As an example, the Packers visited Seattle and San Francisco in 2006, hosted both in 2009, and then hosted San Francisco and visited Seattle in 2012.
The Chiefs defeated the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday, 17-16, while the Eagles lost at home 33-30 to the San Diego Chargers. An added subplot to this game is that Andy Reid is making his first return trip to Lincoln Financial Field.
