Heading into the weekend, the Packers' coaching staff spoke optimistically about Eddie Lacy's health as he recovered from a concussion. It shouldn't surprise too many, however, that the medical staff has decided to take the safe approach and leave him inactive against Cincinnati, allowing him two weeks to recovery with next week's bye.
Similarly unsurprising is John Kuhn's inactive status. Kuhn pulled his hamstring in last week's win over Washington. Combined with Lacy's absence, the Packers are left with only James Starks and Johnathan Franklin at running back. Expect Kuhn's blocking duties to be absorbed by the backup tight ends. As for tailback, it's possible that Randall Cobb sees more action in the backfield.
