Thursday Night Football Week 4 Open Thread: 49ers at Rams

Open thread for the Thursday night action between the San Francisco 49ers and St. Louis Rams

USA TODAY Sports

Is it our bye week already? Well, that's good, as the Packers need a chance to rest and heal.

But as it's our bye week, let's take a look at the Thursday night game. This time, we see a divisional rivalry, as the San Francisco 49ers head east to take on the St. Louis Rams.

After defeating the Packers in Week 1 this year, the 49ers have struggled mightily against the Seahawks and Colts, losing both games by a combined score of 56-10. The Rams, meanwhile, have struggled. After defeating the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1, they have lost to the Falcons and Cowboys, the second loss to Dallas also in blowout fashion.

Of course, this is the continuation of the Los Angeles Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers rivalry. It is also worth noting that last year the Rams won the season series 1-0-1. Both games went into overtime, with the teams eventually tying 24-24 in San Francisco and the Rams winning in upset fashion 16-13 in St. Louis.
