It's over.

The wait for real football, a wait which has lasted 214 days, is finally over. The Super Bowl XLVII Champion Baltimore Ravens travel to Denver tonight to play the Broncos, whom the Ravens defeated in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, in this season's opening game. Here's how you can tune in, and this will be your game thread for the evening.

When:
7:30 PM Central Daylight Time

Where:
Sports Authority Field at Mile High

TV Coverage
National broadcast on NBC

Announcers
Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth

The Baltimore Ravens head to Denver to take on the Broncos in a rematch of last year's amazing divisional playoff game in Denver that went into double overtime before the Ravens won 38-35.

An oddity is that the Ravens, despite being Super Bowl champions, are on the road for this game. Usually, the defending champion opens their season with the kickoff game at home, and the Ravens do host the Texans, Packers, and Patriots during the regular season. It certainly is odd that they are opening the season on the road in Denver, but of course this results from a scheduling dispute with Major League Baseball, since the Baltimore Orioles are playing a night game at home this evening.

Back in 2011, the defending Super Bowl champion Packers opened the season at home against the Saints.
