Week 1 NFL Picks: APC Writers Aren't Optimistic about the Packers

See which members of the APC staff think the Packers will be victorious on Sunday.

Welcome to Thursday afternoon, a day which sees the 2013 NFL regular season kick off with the game between the Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos. With the first kickoff this evening, it's time for us to make our weekly game predictions. Six APC writers will be predicting the winners of each NFL game this season - and make sure to scroll down to find the link to the APC community Pick'em contest to see how you stack up against the writers this season. There are some interesting oddities in this week's picks. We were unanimous on seven winners: the Broncos, Patriots, Colts, Chiefs, Buccaneers, Steelers, and Texans. Knowing us, at least two of those teams will lose this weekend. Also, Tony and I get the homer awards as the only people to pick the Packers to beat the 49ers. Tony also was alone in picking the Vikings and Eagles to win this weekend, while Josh was the only person to say that the Falcons will beat the Saints and the Cardinals will defeat the Rams. I, on the other hand, went out on a limb and said that the Seahawks' early kickoff at Carolina will hurt them and that they'll drop the first game to the Panthers.
