Through about 20 minutes, it was a close, tightly contested football game between the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers, but a fumble by Eddie Lacy and a bad late hit penalty on Clay Matthews changed the momentum of the game midway through the second quarter. After that and the ensuing 49ers touchdown, Jermichael Finley bobbled a ball up the seam that was intercepted by rookie safety Eric Reid.
Thankfully, no damage was done as Phil Dawson missed a 48-yard field goal, and Finley atoned for his earlier drop with a catch-and-run of his own for a score, as he leapt across the front corner of the end zone for a score, and Mason Crosby added the PAT to tie the game at 14.
