APC Mock Draft, Picks 48-50: Jordan Matthews and Chris Borland Projected

In the middle of round two, one of our favorite day-2 receiver prospects for the Packers goes off the board.

Jonathan Daniel

We're halfway through the second round of the Acme Packing Company mock draft, and we're starting to think ahead to the Green Bay Packers' selection at #53. Unfortunately, one of our favorite players in round two goes off the board five picks early to the Ravens, while the top Wisconsin Badgers prospect is drafted two picks later.

#48: Baltimore Ravens (Brendan)

Jordan Matthews, wide receiver, Vanderbilt

Steve Smith was a nice off-season addition, but he's also ancient. The Ravens go with the BPA and add a young weapon to Flacco's fleet of receivers.

Previous selection:
1.17 Taylor Lewan, offensive tackle, Michigan

#49 New York Jets (Jason)

Jeremiah Attaochu, outside linebacker, Georgia Tech

Since Rex Ryan joined the Jets in 2009, the team hasn't shied away from drafting front-seven players. With so many of New York's pass rushers aging, Attaochu gives them a yearly double-digit sack threat at outside linebacker if he develops as expected.

Previous selection:
1.18 Odell Beckham, Jr., wide receiver, LSU

#50 Miami Dolphins (Josh)

Chris Borland, inside linebacker, Wisconsin

Miami needs a lot of help along the offensive line, but their linebacker play was equally bad last season and they addressed the line in round one. Adding Borland in the 2nd round would give them Zach Thomas 2.0.

Previous selection:
1.19 Zack Martin, offensive tackle, Notre Dame
