Week 12: @ Patriots 34, Broncos 31 (OT)
Packers or Wisconsin Connections
These were the two opponents in the Packers' Super Bowls of the 1990s, as Green Bay defeated New England 35-21 in Super Bowl XXXI and lost to Denver 31-24 in Super Bowl XXXII. Denver won again in XXXIII, while the Patriots won Super Bowls XXXVI, XXXVIII, and XXXIX.
Denver linebacker Paris Lenon played his first four years in Green Bay, starting 12 games in 2005. Broncos rookie running back Montee Ball played college football at the University of Wisconsin, where he set the all-time FBS record for touchdowns scored. Patriots tight end Matthew Mulligan spent the off-season and training camp with the Packers, but was cut in the last round of cuts before the regular season.
