The Minnesota Vikings haven't had any response to Green Bay's output in the first half inside a wet Lambeau Field tonight. The Packers currently lead the Vikings 28-0 after the first half. As you get set to watch the second part of tonight's game, look over the good, bad and the ugly from the game so far.
Good
Offensive balance
The Packers have split carries between Eddie Lacy and James Starks in the backfield so far, rotating them on drives. Lacy has 59 yards on the ground as of right now, which is already his season best. After getting just 1 offensive snap last week, Starks has seen a good amount of action so far.
Green Bay's passing attack for the most part has carried over from last week's performance in Chicago. The highlight of the half so far came on the Packers' third drive as Rodgers hit Jordy Nelson for 66 yards on a play-action throw that put them up 14-0. The Vikings haven't been bad on defense though, after Nelson's touchdown which came after an 8-yard score from Randall Cobb, they've forced to Packers to punt on three straight drives.
Rodgers is currently 9-of-12 for 112 yards, while the Packers have a total of 167 right now.
Bad
Christian Ponder
The name says it all, right? The Packers' defensive unit has completed shut down Minnesota's offense so far and put on a clinic in the second quarter. Green Bay has swarmed Ponder on nearly every play in the backfield and have pressured him on almost all of his throws. Mike Daniels, Letroy Guion, and Nick Perry have sacks respectively, and Julius Peppers returned his 10th career interception 49 yards for a touchdown (his third career INT for a touchdown). Ponder followed that drive up by thrown his second pick that was caught by Jamari Lattimore, the first of his career.
Ugly
Thursday Night Football
The Vikings committed three straight turnovers to end the half. The Packers have blown this game out of the water. Key stat: The average margin of victory on Thursday Night Football is 28.3, tonight proves it.
