Winning NFC North games back to back in impressive fashion has pushed the Green Bay Packers back into the Top 10, at least as far as SB Nation is concerned. Power rankings curator Danny Kelly slotted the Green and Gold in at nine this week, sixth overall in terms of NFC teams. The Packers had previously been ranked 12th last week. The Packers were last listed in SB Nation's Top 10 heading into Week 3.
As for other NFC North teams, the Detroit Lions are the highest ranked after Green Bay, coming in at 15th overall. Their kicker woes, caused by the since released Alex Henery, likely cost them a higher position in the power rankings. Landing in the 20th spot are the Chicago Bears, whose come-from-ahead loss to the Carolina Panthers gave them their second defeat in as many weeks. Strangling in the rear are the Minnesota Vikings, who were last seen taking a pummeling on Thursday Night Football.
As for other sources of rankings, NFL.com's Elliot Harrison puts the Packers at fifth this week, up four spots from a week ago and behind only San Diego, Seattle, Denver, and Cincinnati. Yahoo!'s Shutdown Corner blog kept the Packers steady in 8th place, while CBS' Pete Prisco moved Green Bay up from 12th to 10th.
