Thanks to a week in Hawaii in early 2008, Joe Philbin knew what the rest of the NFL would find out a few months later: Aaron Rodgers was really freaking good.

As usual, the Green Bay Packers have a number of young players who are contributing early on to the team's success. It should also come as no surprise that these key players were acquired both in the draft and as undrafted free agents.

In today's curds, we look at a pair of rookies who arrived in Green Bay with drastically different levels of hype, but who have each been a part of a big play or two and are looking to continue to expand their roles on their respective sides of the ball.

We also get to hear a great story from the head coach of the Packers' next opponent, who knows the team and its star quarterback better than most other people in the NFL. Joe Philbin says it was a game he coached (that Aaron Rodgers did not play in) that cemented his opinion of how good #12 could be.
