Courtesy of the Green Bay Packers 55-14 demolition the archrival Chicago Bears, they have once again moved up in the all-important power rankings. Over at the SB Nation mothership, rankings curator and fine fellow Danny Kelly ranked them sixth this week, up from the seventh position. By coincidence, that places Green Bay directly behind the Philadelphia Eagles, their next opponent. If the Packers win this Sunday, they will enter the top five of the power rankings shortly thereafter.
As for the rest of the division, the Detroit Lions remain slightly ahead at four by virtue of their third consecutive fourth-quarter comeback win. That could change this week when they play the Arizona Cardinals, the top team in the SB Nation power rankings. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears are located on the back end of the ranks at number 21 and 28 respectively.
Other power rankings have the Packers in similar territory, though in several cases as the top NFC North team. ESPN places them fifth, one spot ahead of Detroit. Yahoo! Sports has Green Bay even higher at fourth with the Lions barely in the top 10. CBS Sports is the least enthusiastic about the Packers, placing them seventh.
