Packers Inactives: Nick Perry Will Not Play Against Vikings

The Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings have announced their inactive players for today's game at TCF Bank Stadium, and both teams will be missing key players on the defensive side of the ball. First up are the players out for Green Bay.

Packers Inactives

LB Carl Bradford
TE Brandon Bostick
CB Jarrett Bush
C Garth Gerhart
WR Jeff Janis
OLB Nick Perry
QB Scott Tolzien

Clearly, Nick Perry's injury is serious, as he was not able to practice by Friday and presumably was not able to practice on Saturday either. This should cause some shuffling in the Packers' linebacker corps, as Perry's improved play was a big reason why Clay Matthews has been able to shift inside on early downs. Mike Neal should see more snaps as a result, and Jayrone Elliott (who is active after being listed as questionable) will likely get more snaps as well.

Another surprise on the inactive report is Jarrett Bush, as the veteran corner is out for the first time this year. His absence means that rookie corner Demetri Goodson will play his first NFL game, and will likely be taking special teams reps in Bush's place.

Vikings Inactives

RB Matt Asiata
DT Sharrif Floyd
FB Zach Line
LB Mike Mauti
LB Brandon Watts
G Austin Wentworth
G David Yankey

The Vikings will roll with Jerick McKinnon and new addition Ben Tate at running back due to Asiata's concussion. The bigger surprise here is tackle Sharrif Floyd, who was questionable for the game. His absence will likely elevate reserve tackle Tom Johnson into the starting lineup.
