As the weather begins to warm and we make our way into April, we Green Bay Packers fans eagerly await the NFL Draft that is still a little over a month away. Later on today, we will continue our "Getting to Know You" series today, which will move on from Minnesota defensive tackle Ra'Shede Hageman (who we looked at on Monday) and examine another defensive player from one of his Big Ten rivals.
In the meantime, it's time for some curds, wherein we find a look at one of the Packers' young linebackers and news of a big-name free agent going to a place where big-name signings tend to take place. Let's just say that times like these make me grateful that I'm a fan of an organization which does not answer to one individual owner, especially one who has a history of poor free-agent decisions.

Quantifying the Green Bay Packers' injury issues - ESPN
Finally, Football Outsiders' Adjusted Games Lost stat is out. To no Packers fan's surprise, Green Bay ended up with the third-most games lost in the 2013 season.

There's lots of talent at the running back position, everyone. Look out.
Father's memory drives Iowa linebacker Christian Kirksey | JSOnline
As the slow news days of April are upon us, human-interest stories are popping up about draft prospects. This is a good one, though, as the Hawkeye standout strengthened his game and his drive after his father's passing. Plus, the Packers had a meeting with Kirksey at the Senior Bowl, so there's some legitimate interest there.
Modest Expectations for Andy Mulumba | Cheesehead TV
Mike McCarthy doesn't seem to expect big things from the young linebacker this season, but he has a slew of veterans ahead of him on the depth chart so that should not come as a surprise.
DeSean Jackson, Washington Redskins reach 3-year deal - SBNation.com
Every time I hear about Dan Snyder signing a big-name free agent, I imagine him diving into a pool of money like Scrooge McDuck.
The Notebook: Can Mike Evans balance passion & volatility? - SBNation.com
All other things being equal, I'd rather have a guy whose temper runs a little hot and gives him extra motivation than one who has a tendency to take a lot of plays off. Mike Evans would make a frightening addition to the Packers' offense, though it's unlikely he'll be available at #21 overall.
Larrivee, Kelley to call alternate Badgers-centric telecast | FOX 11 Online | WLUK-TV
If you're a Badger fan, make sure to watch the Wisconsin-Kentucky national semifinal game on TruTV instead of TBS. Packers radio announcer Wayne Larrivee will be doing the play-by-play with former Wisconsin point guard Mike Kelley doing color commentary.
