Packers 2014 Undrafted Free Agent Signings

With the draft now complete, the Packers turn their attention to undrafted free agency. In the past, the Packers have landed starters such as Sam Shields, Jarrett Boykin, Cullen Jenkins, Don Barclay, and Evan Dietrich-Smith here.

Thompson and co. have also found any number of pass rushing linebackers after the draft. Frank Zombo contributed opposite Clay Matthews as a rookie, highlighted by his sack of Ben Roethlisberger in Super Bowl XLV. Dezman Moses and Andy Mulumba found significant playing time after signing with Green Bay in 2012 and 2013 respectively.

Not all undrafted free agent signings are created equal, however. Despite considerable hype, Vic So'oto never became a reliable defender. Likewise, the Packers spent a surprising sum on Patrick Lewis only to see him fail to make their 53 (and land on Jacksonville's).

Despite the misses, the Packers remain one of the league's best at finding useful players in undrafted free agency, retaining 24% of such players.
