Happy start of the football offseason, Green Bay Packers fans! The 2014 team will take the practice field today at 11:30 AM Central Time for the first Organized Team Activities practice of the offseason. Today's practice is closed to the public, but Thursday's will be open - so get up to Ray Nitschke Field tomorrow bright and early to check out the boys in Green and Gold!

Also of some importance was a story that broke late last night - tight end Jermichael Finley is reportedly in Green Bay and will have his injured neck examined by Packers team doctors. Our Jason Hirschhorn provided his take on the situation here, but I'm of the opinion that Finley's career is best served by staying in Green Bay if he is indeed cleared to play.

With that out of the way, let's move on to today's curds!

If Thornton's improved effort level approaches that of Mike Daniels (who could easily be his mentor this year), that will bode well for his chances of making an impact early on.
