For the past few weeks, the Green Bay Packers have been operating with 89 roster spots filled on their 90-man roster. According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, they have filled that spot with another young inside linebacker prospect:

So who is Korey Jones?
Jones played his college football at the University of Wyoming and completed his eligibility after the 2012 season. According to NFLDraftScout.com, Jones participated in a Regional Scouting Combine prior to the 2013 draft, where he measured in at 6 feet and 5/8 inches tall and weighed in at 230 pounds. This puts him squarely at inside linebacker in the Packers' 3-4 system.
His physical tools are intriguing, though. Between his Pro Day and the Regional Combine, his best testing results include a 4.60-second 40-yard dash, 27 bench press reps at 225 pounds, and a 40-inch vertical jump.
After going undrafted a year ago, Jones was signed as a free agent by the Arizona Cardinals immediately after the draft. He was cut late in the 2013 preseason, when teams had to reduce rosters down from 90 to 75 players. He then spent some time with the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League, recording a handful of special teams tackles.
In two years with the Wyoming Cowboys, Jones posted 162 tackles (9 for loss), four sacks, and a forced fumble.
UPDATE: As was noted in the comments, the official NFL transaction report for July 23rd indicates that the Packers waived inside linebacker Shaun Lewis in addition to signing Jones. Therefore, the Packers remain at 89 players on the 90-man roster.
