As is tradition, the Green Bay Packers will host Family Night on the Saturday following the first full week of training camp. This year's Family Night features a somewhat different structure, as the players will take part in a typical practice session instead of a scrimmage like in years past.
However, the event features numerous giveaways and off-the-field events, and a fireworks display is even planned for after the conclusion of practice. Here are the critical details for the 2014 edition of Family Night.
WHERE?
Lambeau Field
Green Bay, Wisconsin
WHEN?
Saturday, August 2nd, 2014
Doors open at 5:30 PM Central Time.
Players will begin warming up at approximately 6:30 PM, with practice officially starting at about 7:30 and likely concluding around 9:30.
WHO?
The Green Bay Packers, obviously. It's a glorified practice, so expect all non-injured Packers to participate.
HOW?
If you didn't get tickets but want to watch practice, WLUK FOX-11 in Green Bay is streaming the entire event. Check out their website here to find the stream.
Select FOX stations in Wisconsin will also be airing the practice live.
ANYTHING ELSE?
Parking will be available in the Lambeau Field lots for $5, and proceeds will be donated to charity.
