Cheese Curds: Green Bay Packers News and Links for August 22nd, 2014

Lambeau Field's concession vendor is making some waves this season with a handful of new, ridiculously tasty-looking (and heart-attack-inducing) options.

If you buy something from an SB Nation link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.

Stadium food has become a unique expression of Americana, and it seems that these days, each team is trying to outdo its competitors. Hell, here at SB Nation, there's a guy who basically gets to do nothing else but go to a bunch of different stadiums and try to eat their most absurd dishes.

So it should be no surprise that the Packers are jumping into the "extreme stadium food" pool. In fact, they're taking a great big belly flop with a few new offerings, including a sandwich that practically gave me intestinal distress just looking at it.

Oh, and if you're at Lambeau Field tonight, you had might as well check out that thing going on down on the field as well. Apparently there's a football game happening.

On to today's curds.

Fast Five with Datone Jones |
Former Packers running back Johnathan Franklin may have a career in the media business, and he kicks it off by asking his old college teammate about what celebrity he'd like to hang out with and what superpower he would want.

Packers face tough decisions in deep OLB room |
It's a far cry from a few months ago against the 49ers, when Datone Jones was standing up playing linebacker for a few plays here and there due to a lack of depth and several injuries.

Packers' new stadium food is a giant sausage toilet seat -
We expect the first APC reader who eats the Horse Collar to write a detailed FanPost about the experience. Deal? Here's a closer look at that sausage for the click-impaired:

Um...yeah. Also new this year at Lambeau's concession stands are "bratchos" (yes, nachos with bratwurst) and a donut ice cream sandwich. Good luck getting out of Lambeau this season without arterial blockage or diabetes.
