If you haven't made it out to Ray Nitschke Field for one of the Green Bay Packers' open practices this year...well...I'm sorry to say it's probably too late. This morning, the team will hold its final open practice session at 10:15 AM Central, as they prepare for their fourth and final preseason game.
The Kansas City Chiefs come to town on Thursday as the Packers' 75 players battle to make it through the 22-man cut-down and onto the active roster, and today's practice should be another of the team's short, game-preparation sessions that they have begun holding the day prior to games.
Naturally, players around the roster bubble will and should be examined closely today and tomorrow. Names like Jayrone Elliott, Carl Bradford, Jumal Rolle, Jake Stoneburner, and others will be looking for big performances to earn those last few spots on the team, or at the very least invitatons back onto the practice squad to start the 2014 season.
Stay tuned with us as we all observe practice vicariously and join us back here later for more roster analysis.
